Groups of 20 Permitted for Community Sport and Club Training

With respect to clarification around training for children under the age of 16 years, the following two points apply:

  • "Unvaccinated children 15 and under may participate in outdoor public gatherings for sport and exercise and count towards the total number of people", and;

  • "A child (15 years and under) is not required to be accompanied by an adult member of the household. As noted above, all adults attending the gathering must be fully vaccinated."

Reminder - Community Sport & Club Training Information (sent Thursday, 7  October)

Individuals who take part in community sport and club training from Monday, 11 October must be vigilant in ensuring that the above steps are taken to ensure that return to sport is done in a safe and responsible manner.

All clubs and associations delivering community sport and club training from Monday, 11 October will:

Individuals who take part in community sport and club training must sign in and sign out appropriately via their club's QR code on entry - all individuals are to stay vigilant and are to be responsible with this process.

Competitions and events will not be permitted until NSW reaches the 80% fully vaccinated targeted, which the NSW Government has identified will be on Monday, 25 October.

For those living in Greater Sydney, regional travel outside Greater Sydney (defined by the NSW Government as the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour) will also not be permitted until NSW reaches the 80% fully vaccinated target.
