Former South Sydney Athletics member Ryan Cross was a very talented Shot Putter who broke both State and National records in his rise through the ranks. However ultimatley as a consequence of his all round athletic Ability He went on to play Rugby Union for Australia and Rugby League for Eastern Suburbs Roosters.
