Event Waiver

SKIPPERS DECLARATION

As Skipper and Person in Charge of the Vessel (i.e. board) I am nominating, I declare that:

I am a fully paid up member of a Club affiliated to Australian Sailing and I have an Australian Sailing (AS) number.

The regatta will be governed by the following rules:
a) The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
b) Australian Sailing (AS) Special Regulations Part 2 for Off The Beach Boats.
c) RRS Appendix T - Arbitration, shall apply.
d) The Class Rules
Except where these are changed by the Notice of Race (NOR) or by the Sailing Instructions (SIs).

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 3 Decision to Race.

SoPYC is not responsible for the seaworthiness of a boat whose entry is accepted or the sufficiency or adequacy of its equipment.

SoPYC as the Organising Authority, its associates and appointees will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during or after the regatta.

For all competitors under the age of 18 years of age, at any time during the event, completing the online registration form will be deemed Parental /Guardian consent for entry to the Regatta.

Each participating boat shall be insured with a valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of AUD10 million per incident or the equivalent and shall be made available upon request.

I understand and accept that the boat and her details, along with skipper name and where appropriate, crew names will be listed on the official site for this event.
