Wing Foiling Beginners Course 3
Course information
Welcome to WingFoil Training at South of Perth Yacht Club. In collaboration with Australian Sailing and many Wing Foiling pioneers, we have developed a training syllabus to safely and progressively get people foiling quickly.
This course is ideally suited to:
- Adults with a strong sailing, surfing or windsurfing background who have good fitness, agility and balance.
- Minimum age of 14.
The fee includes coaching and the use of Club equipment including:
- Naish Hover Foil Boards
- Naish S26 Foils
- Naish 4m Wings
- Some demo gear from F-One
- SUP's and Windsurfers for Winging (without foils)
- Coach Boats for towing
We will cover the fundamentals of body and mind intelligence, safe falling, and gradually progress with:
- SUPing
- Wingsailing on SUP's or Windsurfers
- Foiling by Towing
- Then if deemed safe - Wingfoiling - Bringing it all together
What is a FOIL-LAB?
A 1 day foiling taster designed to give the opportunity to try foiling in a controlled and safe way, core sessions of the FOIL-LAB will be focussed on body-centric foiling classes and specifically what is happening under the water.
The focus of the Foil-Lab will be on:
- Body Intelligence
- Foiling Fundamentals
- Relationship between the body and the foil
- Exposing the body to unstable foiling environments in a safe, controlled setting
What does it include?
Classroom and on water sessions covering theory, practice and simulations
Who is this clinic best suited to?
Sailors who would like to explore the possibility of transfering skills to foiling classes
