Roller Derby Sunday Sessions
 
Skate Australia and Roller Derby Australia are hosting a series of scrimmage sessions playing under the International Rules of Roller Derby.  They'll be run at Digi Skate Rink (D2) on the 3rd Sunday of every month from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
We will aim to have 3 modified rules Scrims over the 2 hour period.

•         Rules:
International Rules of Roller Derby – V3 with the following amendments
Reduced time for periods (2 x 15-minute halves with 5-minute half time)
1 team timeout per half

•         Minimum skill requirements:
 
All participating skaters must have passed a minimum level of skill to participate.
The WFTDA and Skate Australia Coaching Accreditation set the benchmark for a framework of minimum skills required.
The organiser (Skate Australia) and Head Referee reserves the right to request the removal of a skater whose level of skill is below a standard that puts either themselves or others at an unacceptable risk.

•         Age requirements: minimum age is 15 years old
Those under the age of 18 are required to have a parent or guardian in attendance and approval to compete with and against adults.

Season Registration: $35.00* 

Each Session: $10.00
Each Session (if NSO or Ref 1 game): $5.00
Officials: FREE
 

Interstate/Regional: $15.00

*Interstate and Regional players are exempt from having to pay season registration to reduce the barrier to entry as they have an additional financial burden to attend all sessions – Regional Skaters are considered North of Noosa, West of Toowoomba and South of Tweed Heads (which is NSW anyway)

*All participants must pay a Season Registration fee to be able to participate. Session fees are additional and must be paid for every session attended.
 
 
Payment will be made directly to the Skate Australia Nominated Roller Derby Account and Registrations must be in no later than 24 hours prior (i.e. Saturday 1:30pm)
