Southern Highlands Water Polo in conjunction with Water Polo NSW invites SHWP members to a water polo skills session.

Water Polo NSW is sending ex-Australian and current National League player Chris Batty  (see Full Profile below) to the Highlands to promote and expand the sport of water polo in the Southern Highlands.

 

Where:  Frensham Centenary Pool, Range Rd, Mittagong

When:  Sunday 15th November 2015

Time:  3.00pm for 3.30pm to 6.45pm – (see schedule below)

Cost:  $10.00 for all SHWP registered members – includes pool entry and clinic. 

  • Pay on the day by cash
  • Direct deposit to SHWP bank account as per invoice

What do you need to bring:  Swimming cap, Cossies, towel, water bottle, mouthguard (if owned).

 

The program will be something like the following:-

  •           3:00 – 3:45pm Coaches coaching debrief.
  •           3:45 – 5:00pm Beginners and come and try skills session.  The objective of this session will be to introduce players to some basic skills and a game of water polo.
  •          5:00 – 6:45pm Intermediate/representative training session will be a little more than a basic skills session. The objective of this session will be to introduce these athletes to a state level coach and representative water polo, to promote their interest in the elite pathway.

 

Profile for Chris Batty:

-Chris is an ex Australian & NSW player playing in the representative pathway all the way through juniors and seniors. He has trained as a professional athlete with Galatassaray, as a NSW institute of sport scholarship holder, and he is currently a member of the Cronulla National League Water Polo team.

-As a coach Chris has coached NSW teams at the u16 level,  and multiple school and club age teams.

-Chris is a qualified PDHPE teacher and has a passion in developing athletes with a holistic orientation, incorporating Sports Science with Elite Coaching.

 

What you need to do:  Register your commitment ASAP to attend the session.  Non attendance will incur a $30.00 no show fee payable prior to next competition game.  

Once numbers are finalised we shall confirm the time slot for your participation.
