We're super excited to have you play with us and would love to know a little more about your experience with badminton and interest in playing with our club. Whether you're looking for a new sport, a new community or an excuse to get active again with badminton, we'd love to welcome you.

If you're playing with Shuttle Swingers for the first time, please take a minute to read the following before getting on court.

WHO IS IT FOR?
Whether you're a beginner or a former social or comp player, we're all about increasing female participation in badminton, and having fun along the way. We love playing badminton and introducing women from all sporting backgrounds to give it a go. Many women who play tennis, squash or even soccer find it a great cross over sport.

Whether you're LGBTIQ+ or a straight woman, or just an ally, everyone is welcome in our club.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE
Upon arrival, please ensure you check-in with a Shuttle Swingers host. If you're a beginner at badminton, then we'll get you to join our introductory group session. In this group, our experienced players will run you through the basics of playing badminton, how to hold your racket and show you the types of shots you'll need to use to get swinging. You'll also learn how to score a game of doubles.

If you're a pretty experienced player, we'll slot you into the social rotation system.

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING
Appropriate and comfortable sporting attire. Badminton or indoor shoes preferred but not essential. General sports trainers are acceptable. Don't forget water! You'll definitely need that. If you need to borrow a racket, be sure to let us know beforehand.

COVID SAFETY
The Badmintonworx Venue is a COVID safe business and venue. Please ensure you check in at the front desk via their QR code and practice COVID safe distancing. Please note there are also no change rooms or showers in use.

COST
$20 for non-members, $17 members
Payment is made prior to attending to secure your spot. We are happy to lend you a racket if you don't have one.
