Season 2024 – 2025 is upon us, we are looking forward to a great season of tennis with you all and your families. Please find below important information about the upcoming season.

DATES OF PLAY 2024/2025 SEASON

·       Round 1 – Saturday 12^th October 2024.

·       Training commences: Tuesday 8^th October 2024.

·       Open Day: The club is very excited about the upcoming season with many initiatives planned. The club is planning to hold an open day that will provide the juniors an opportunity for some match play. Stay tuned for details.

·       REGISTRATIONS CLOSE: Friday 6^th September 2024

IMPORANT NOTE: When you are registering, please click on the NEW MEMBER option as this year we have moved to a new sign-up platform.

If you are a sponsor wishing to register your child for play, please contact Valley Sport directly and we will manage your registration for you.

·       Payment is required at the time of registration. If you would prefer a payment plan, please reach out to the club via one of the contacts below and the club will provide assistance.

·       Information will also be provided via school newsletters.

·       For the younger ones and new families who you may be speaking with, a reminder there are introductory competition grades for the young ones using a low compression Green Dot ball. The green dot grades play a very important role for young players to develop their skills by using a ball that is a little slower through the air and doesn’t bounce over their head. The upper age limit of this competition is generally 12 and commencement age is skill dependant.

TENNIS ID NUMBERS

ALL players in 2024/25 competition will require a Competitive Player Profile (CPP). This includes grades D through to A.

If your child registered last year, please feel free to contact Fleur Baldi on 0438 520 178 or Valley Sport 58318456 and we might be able to provide you with your Tennis ID based off previous registration details.

A CPP involves setting up a Tennis ID through Match Centre (Please record this Tennis ID number to use when registering for Junior tennis) then setting up a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) ID and connecting both of these up to form your CPP.

This requires all players to create an account on Match Centre (tennis.com.au) if they do not have one already (many players will already have one from previous seasons so will just need to log back in to obtain their Tennis ID number for registration).

Here is a guide showing all the steps for players to follow. Please note in step 8 that each players profile will need an unique email address on Universal Tennis. Any players having difficulties with this process should contact Tennis Australia Customer Support at play@tennis.com.au or 1800 752 983.
