Souths Hockey Club was established in 1960 and is based on the north side of Cairns within the Cairns Hockey precinct. We pride ourselves on being a long-established local club that maintains a family & community-based culture consisting of values, beliefs, and attitudes that supports and encourages participation in sport.  Many of our current members have a deep rooted family connection with past and present members.

Souths Hockey Club and their members consistently enjoy success in all divisions within the local Cairns Hockey competition.  We are committed to player recruitment, retention and development, and having produced and fostered numerous representative players aging from U12s-Masters.  We are currently the smallest club by members in Cairns, but we do have the biggest heart and determination to be the best club in the region. We are also focussed on maintaining a culture that is inclusive to all and to maintaining a fun and friendly atmosphere withing all teams. We have a range of Junior, Secondary and Masters teams that have availability and welcome all new and returning players.
