JFFA: Seaforth Jets WIN 7-0 against the Manly Wallabies

Slowly rolling onto the tarmac, there were concerns the Jets engines weren’t firing on all cylinders. Air Command rallied the troops igniting engines ready for takeoff.

Any concerns were quashed with Top Gun striking immediately. Not to be outdone, Young Gun Noah reacquainted himself with the Autobahn and took decisive action. Then out of the blue (then somewhat grey) skies powerhouse Will struck with deadly intent!

Although the tally was high, it didn’t reflect the strength of their opponent. Bob constantly defended her territory with remarkable grit and determination. Captain Duke attacked and defended admirably with strong cover defence and shots from Niam the Neutraliser.

Throughout the fight, we thought we’d suffered a loss with David doing burnouts on the tarmac. Fortunately he lived to fight another day and he soared once again.

The whole Squadron worked together as one well-oiled machine. Finishing with seven direct hits and zero casualties, Air Command was proud and grateful for yet another victory.

Round 3 Players of The Match: Will and Bob

OPEN WOMENS:

Seaforth Maydays vs Avalon Boomers - DRAW - Nil All!

An evenly matched game in the muddy trenches saw both teams have great opportunities to take this game, great defence on both sides meant no one was able to convert, although Olivia came so close. There was great midfield work with short passing necessary to navigate the boggy field and the combinations of the front row of Sarah, Olivia, Kylie and Yaz coming together well as the team gets more games under our belts. Many thanks to our Bomber friends that helped out this week with Danni, Belinda, Diane and Gabi helping out.

Round 3 Player of the Match: Olivia

Seaforth Bombers vs Terry Hills Allsorts - WIN 4 -1 to the Bombers!!

The Allsorts were keen for a game this week and their first goal was high and fast, swooping past the bombers defence. But once the engines of the bombers team were rolling in full gear there was no stopping them from dominating this game with their superb use of the midfield and their forward combinations coming together beautifully with a spectacular goal for Danni D and a couple of corkers for Shannon to take the the lead and the win this week. A great game to watch and thanks to Maydays Dani, Verity, Sally and Olivia for stepping up for a second game this week.

Round 3 Player of the Match: Danni D
