JFFA: Seaforth Jets Win 6-0 against the Terrey Hills Billies.

Rolling through the quagmire with anticipation lingering in the air, the squadron was ready for a fight. With a distant memory of the 2019 GF Battle, Command had a strategy - win at all costs.

The squadron didn’t disappoint. Between Wingmen Dylan (single hit) & Noah (triple hit) their scopes were decisively set on target. Top Gun clearly didn’t want to lose his title with a respectable double shot.

But this fight wasn’t just about the strikers. The whole squadron held their muddy ground. Halves and backs worked tirelessly. Grinding away, the opposition was relentless. Command was clearly frustrated with the rule of law.

Squid once again had his eye set on the prize. Drive, drive, drive it down the Autobahn - or suffer the wrath of Command. Great cover defence was displayed between the backs, halves, inners, wings - everyone wanted a piece of the action.

With dirty wheels and windshields the squadron soared in galant style. Much to their relief - Command even cracked a smile!

Players of the Match: Dylan, Squid & Luke O

OPEN WOMENS:

Seaforth Maydays vs Terrey Hills Allsorts - 3 - 0 Loss!

Field 4 was a  muddy bog which made the game slow and challenging around the key puddles on the pitch. Terrey Hills Allsorts were competitive for the win although the score does not reflect the possession and play for most of the match, with the Allsorts converting for the chances they got at goal. Both midfield and forward combinations were really coming together amongst the team with the Maydays playing much more comfortably at their own game. With many opportunities from Olivia, Kylie, Sarah and Yas just missing the line to take this game to a result for Maydays. Defence was strong this week, with the Verity, Danni, Chris and Heidi breaking down many ooportunites guided by the boss in back, Sally, making sure everyone was marking the Allsorts strong attack. Many thanks to our Bomber friends that helped out this week with Di, Em, and Gabi helping out.

Round 4 Player of the Match: Yasmine

Seaforth Bombers vs Avalon Beaches - WIN 2 -0 to the Bombers!!

These two teams are old foes and it is always a fantastic game to watch, each of the Bombers put their best effort in this week to come away with the WIN on a slow and muddy surface. Belinda - The Brilliant, always thinking of her next move. Bridge - the Ball Basher, everything she touched went through the Avalon defence like butter on ice! Danni - The Diligent, she never misses a ball and can manoeuvre past 3 players at a time! Di - The Dynamo the best one handed stick player I have seen - and she is everywhere at once!
Em - The Enigmatic, solid defence, solid hit and some times a bit scary. Gabi - The Great, we would be screwed without her youthful legs pelting up and down the field! Heather -The Hardworking determined not to let a ball go past her post! Katie - The Killer, takes no prisoners and gets the ball through every time. Shannon - The Scorer she never missed an opportunity to seal the deal today!
Sally - The Sassy goalkeeper who absolutely smashed it today, she nearly even took out the oppositions head in the process. Thanks Liz for the creative match report!

Round 4 Player of the Match: Em
