Trials will be conducted to select teams to represent South Brisbane Indoor Hockey Association (Vipers) at the upcoming Indoor Hockey State Titles, to be held at home (Vipers) on 4-6 December 2020. Only girls born 2002, 2003 and 2004 can trial.
Trials to be a combination of training drills and games
Nominations will be open to any player registered in South Brisbane Indoor Hockey Association (SBIHA) who is a FULL TIME PLAYER in our fixtures.
Nomination cost for trialling will be $40 per player - payable to cover venue hire for trials and some training.
To cover the costs of hosting the tournament, SBIHA will be imposing a small levy on all SBIHA U18 women rep players. This is consistent with our approach in 2019 and in lieu of these players having to incur transport and accommodation when travelling away. To minimise this levy, we have sought grants from both HQ and the Mt Gravatt Sports & Rec. (Any additional sponsorship is most welcome - please let us know if you have any ideas)
Please note that there are COVID procedures provided by HQ which must be followed.
Number of teams to be selected will depend upon nomination levels and acceptance by Hockey Queensland
We are planning for two teams for the U18 Girls
All players must be registered indoor players with Hockey QLD with SBIHA as primary association for indoor
A compulsory Tournament Fee is also payable to Hockey QLD
