Trials will be conducted to select team(s) to represent South Brisbane Indoor Hockey Association (SBIHA or Vipers) at the U18 Boys State Championships, to be held in Toowoomba on Fri 22 - Sun 24 November 2024.
Vipers is planning to nominate 2 teams for U18 Boys (subject to Hockey Queensland acceptance).
Trials will be a combination of training drills and games.
Please arrive 30 minutes before start-time for registration and warm-up.
Who can trial:
Only boys born in 2006-2009
Must be registered indoor players with Hockey QLD, with SBIHA as primary association for indoor
Must be a full-time registered player in a 2024 competition at SBIHA
What are the costs:
Nomination costs for trialling will be $40 per player - payable to cover venue hire for trials and some training
The nomination costs are non-refundable
If selected, rep players will be required to purchase a Vipers singlet and socks
A compulsory Tournament Fee is also payable to Hockey QLD
Travel and/or accommodation costs are the responsibility of the player.
Trial - Saturday 26 October (5.00pm-6.30pm)
Team trainings - Saturday 2 Nov (6.30-8.00pm), 9 Nov and 16 Nov (6.00-7.30pm)
State Team Nominations - HQ now requires players to nominate for State team selection using the HQ link: 2024 Nominations for Qld Indoor Team - Hockey Queensland (hockeyqld.com.au). Nominations close strictly 2 days before the State tournament commences & the fee payable to HQ for nomination is $50.
