Trials will be conducted to select teams to represent South Brisbane Indoor Hockey Association (SBIHA or Vipers) at the U16 Girls State Championships, to be held on 25-27 October 2024 (Maryborough)
Vipers is planning to nominate 2-3 teams for U15 Girls (subject to Hockey Queensland acceptance).
Trials will be a combination of training drills and games.
Please arrive 30 minutes before start-time for registration and warm-up.
Who can trial:
Only girls born in 2008-2009
Must be registered indoor players with Hockey QLD, with SBIHA as primary association for indoor
Must be a full-time registered player in a 2024 competition at SBIHA
What are the costs:
Nomination costs for trialling will be $40 per player - payable to cover venue hire for trials and some training
The nomination costs are non-refundable
If selected, rep players will be required to purchase a Vipers singlet and socks
A compulsory Tournament Fee is also payable to Hockey QLD
Travel and/or accommodation costs are the responsibility of the player.
Trial - Saturday 5 October (3.00pm-4.30pm)
Team trainings - Sunday 13 October (7.00pm-9.00pm) - shared with U16B and Saturday 19 October (5.00pm-6.30pm)
State Team Nominations - HQ now requires players to nominate for State team selection using the HQ link: 2024 Nominations for Qld Indoor Team - Hockey Queensland (hockeyqld.com.au). Nominations close strictly 2 days before the State tournament commences & the fee payable to HQ for nomination is $50.
