The Sapphire Coast Runners are kicking off our very popular Trail Series, with the first of four events in the series taking place in Tathra on the 6th of April 2025.
This is another great opportunity for any novice to seasoned runner / walker a chance to experience, in a group environment, some of the many amazing bush trails our local area has to offer.
For event 1, participants will choose to complete either the approx. 3.5km, 6km or the 12km course.
The event will have a timekeeper and the results will be recorded. Saying this however, a strong emphasis will be on participation. So, whether you want to walk or run over a shorter or longer distance, the aim will be to get as many participants as possible to join in the experience of running or walking on some of our awesome local trails.
The courses start at the intersection of Tathra Rd and White Rock Rd. All courses are predominately out and back following fire trails, with all courses his year taking a short detour to the finish line just to change it up a bit.
There are no mandatory gear requirements for the event, However, you might like to bring a water bottle, a mobile phone, compression bandage, snack or anything else you feel you might need for your distance.
The aim will be to get everyone at the start by 7.45am for check-in and safety brief before the 8am start.
There is limited parking beside Tathra Rd opposite the entrance to White Rock Rd. Car pooling is recommended. There is additional parking space near the Tathra Fireshed approx. 1km East or at Evans Park, Kalaru approx.2km West.
There are no toilet facilities at this venue, which you may want to factor in before arriving at 7.45am on the day. Evans Park has the closest Public Toilets.
