Details
Event information
***SCR MEMBERS ONLY EVENT***
The SCR are continuing the Trail Series to provide an opportunity for any novice to seasoned runner / walker a chance to experience, in a group environment, some of the many amazing bush trails our local area has to offer.
The series is conducted over three trail events, with the third and final event commencing at 8am sharp on the 15th of October 2023.
For event 3, participants will choose to complete the approximately 6km or 12km course. Both courses are a little more challenging (hilly) than the previous two trail series courses earlier this year.
Interested participants must register. Entry is free for members.
The event will have a timekeeper and the results will be recorded. Saying this however, a strong emphasis will be on participation. So whether you want to walk or run over the shorter or the longer distance, the aim will be to get as many participants to join in the experience of running or walking on some of our awesome local trails.
Both courses start near at the Nethercote Falls picnic area and are on fire trails/dirt roads. Both courses are loop courses.
Parking is available at the picnic area. Access is via a dirt road from Back Creek Road (approx. 13km south west of Pambula). The 1.5km of dirt road is suitable for 2wd cars, but if your car is very low you may wish to carpool in another car.
There are no mandatory gear requirements for the event. However, you might like to bring a water bottle, a mobile phone, compression bandage/s or anything else you feel you might need for your distance.
The aim will be to get everyone at the start by 7.45am for check-in and safety brief.
If you’re interested or going, please register, we’d love to see you there 😊
This is the final event in the Triple Crown Competition - Members who have competed in all three of the trail events (either all short courses or all long courses) held throughout the year are eligible for a prize awarded at the end 🤩👏🎉🎁
