Welcome to Sandringham Life Saving Club's Silver Salties program!
Silver Salties Strength & Mobility Training is all about enjoyment, fitness, and social interaction with like-minded people in a safe and welcoming environment.
Our strength training classes will be tailored to your specific needs and abilities so you can comfortably achieve results. Our instructor Rod Fuller specialises in exercise techniques and requirements for adults over 50. His functional fitness approach will help you to lose weight, build balance stability, increase your muscular strength, endurance, flexibility and aerobic capacity. He focuses on core strength to improve balance and stability to reduce the likelihood of falls. He understands the importance of healthy eating and how it relates to your exercise program. He knows how to encourage and motivate you to reach your fitness goals, and is an experienced and qualified Certificate III and IV trainer.
The Silver Salties Strength & Mobility Class will run every Wednesday morning at 9:30am. Please meet at the Sandringham Life Saving Club.
Each class is $15 per person and $10 for pension card holders. Payment for classes can be made online, or alternatively cash can be paid on the day. Please bring the correct amount of cash as no change will be provided. Participants are welcome to attend as often as they can!
All attendees must pre-register to ensure they are covered by our insurance. Please do not attend the program if you are unwell or show any symptoms of COVID-19. Participants are requested to be mindful of social distancing, practice good hand hygiene and coughing/sneezing etiquette, etc.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes, bring a water bottle and be sun-safe. Please bring a yoga or fitness mat if you have one.

Alternatively, download the Registration Form & Participant Declaration at the bottom of this page, complete the forms and bring them with you to your first session. Forms are also available at the classes if you need to register on the day; the Registration Form & Participant Declaration only need to be completed once, before the first class you attend.
