Welcome to Sandringham Life Saving Club's Silver Salties program!

The Silver Salties Fitness Class is all about enjoyment, fitness and social interaction with like-minded people in a safe and welcoming environment.

Our Fitness classes will be tailored to your specific needs and abilities so you can comfortably achieve results. Our instructor Rod Fuller specialises in exercise techniques and requirements for adults over 50. His functional fitness approach will help you to lose weight, build balance stability, increase your muscular strength, endurance, flexibility and aerobic capacity. He focuses on core strength to improve balance and stability to reduce the likelihood of falls. He understands the importance of healthy eating and how it relates to your exercise program. He knows how to encourage and motivate you to reach your fitness Goals and is an experienced and qualified Certificate III and IV trainer

The Silver Salties Fitness Class will run every Thursday morning starting on 16th December and continuing from 6th Jaunary 2022. The outdoor sessions will be held on the Sandringham Life Saving Club balcony.

Each class is $15, Pension card holders are $10. Payment for classes can be made online or alternatively cash on the day. Please note payment is not based on weeks, it's based on classes attended. So, if you miss a session you can carry it over to the next session or try a different class.

All attendees must pre-register to ensure they are covered by our insurance. A prerequisite to register is that all attendees must be fully vaccinated. It is a Life Saving Victoria (LSV) requirement for all members or club attendees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be able to attend a club facility, deliver a club service in person, or participate in a club activity in person.

All COVID-19 precautions must also be in place i.e. QR Code to check-in, mask wearing where required inline with Governmant guidelines, stay at home if unwell, social distancing, good hand hygiene, coughing/sneezing etiquette etc.
