Silver Salties Outdoor Tai Chi
Details
Program information
Welcome to Sandringham Life Saving Club's Silver Salties program!
The Silver Salties Tai Chi program is all about enjoyment, fitness and social interaction with like-minded people in a safe and welcoming environment. Tai Chi is characterized by movements that are flowing and gentle which is great for older adults wanting a low-impact, slower paced workout (but all ages welcome). Led by experienced Tai Chi instructor Pei Pei all fitness levels and abilities are welcome.
The Silver Salties Outdoor Tai Chi program will commence outdoors on Tuesday 9th November and run every Tuesday morning until Tuesday 21st December. The outdoor sessions will be held on the grass area adjacent to Beach Road (opposite The Cresent, just to the South of the clubhouse - heading towards the pedestrrian crossing). When restrictions permit we look forward to welcoming you to stay for a cuppa in the SLSC clubhouse at the conclusion of the session.
Each class is $15. Payment for classes can be made online here in advance for one or all classes in this series ( 7 x $15 = $105) or alternatively $15 cash on the day. Participants are welcome to attend as often as they can (there are lots of different sessions planned, some will be free and others with be a small fee)! Please note payment is not based on weeks, it's based on classes attended. So, if you miss a session you can carry it over to the next series or try a different class.
All attendees must pre-register to ensure they are covered by our insurance. A prerequisite to register is that all attendees must be fully vaccinated. It is a Life Saving Victoria (LSV) requirement for all members or club attendees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be able to attend a club facility, deliver a club service in person, or participate in a club activity in person.
All COVID-19 precautions must also be in place i.e. QR Code to check-in, mask wearing where required inline with Governmant guidelines, stay at home if unwell, social distancing, good hand hygiene, coughing/sneezing etiquette etc.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes, bring a water bottle and be sun-safe.
