Established in 1974 by a small yet passionate group of sailors, this club has grown to become the centerpiece of its local sailing community, regularly hosting community events as well as sailing-focused activities.

Cairns Yacht Club overlooks the marina and waterfront of Trinity Inlet in the heart of Cairns, Far North Queensland. The club boasts a second superb dinghy location 30 kms north of the city at beautiful Ellis Beach. The history of the club stretches over a fascinating114 years including the founding years when the club was responsible for constructing some of the first navigation towers in the area.

Mooloolaba Women’s Keelboat Regatta a Success – Despite the Weather!

Teams from around Queensland competed in the third annual Mooloolaba Women’s Keelboat Regatta over the last weekend in October, with former Olympian, Danielle Kennedy, skippering Team Bing Pot!, taking out the perpetual trophy.

Mooloolaba Women’s Keelboat Regatta Set to Sail October 29 to 31, 2021

The third annual Mooloolaba Women’s Keelboat Regatta is set to sail this coming weekend, with eight teams of women from around Queensland competing on the challenging short-course Mooloola River. Training and social racing is scheduled for Friday, while the serious racing will start early on Saturday, October 30 and run through Sunday.
