We are seeking a dynamic Sailing Manager to plan and deliver engaging, safe, and inclusive sailing programs for all ages within our community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing vibrant programs, managing the sailing budget, coordinating staff, and promoting active participation in sailing. You will also build community connections with schools and sporting clubs, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for all members. This role requires excellent time management, effective communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and optimise all training and sailing programs.
  • Develop strategic community partnerships to increase sailing participation.
  • Drive membership growth and enhance club engagement.
  • Oversee and manage the sailing budget efficiently.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment in compliance with all safety standards.
  • Coordinate staff, equipment, and logistics for all sailing activities.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise sailing instructors and support staff.
  • Promote the club through effective marketing strategies and community outreach.
  • Engage in strategic planning and financial management for sailing activities.
  • Maintain and manage club assets, facilities, and compliance with regulations.

Requirements:

  • Relevant certifications, including Safety Boat Operator and Advanced Fleet Coaching.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong people management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven event and project management capabilities.
  • High attention to detail with strong time management and administrative skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, outdoor environment with unrestricted working rights.
  • Customer service experience is highly regarded; sailing coaching qualifications are a bonus.
