Australian Sailing National Awards 

  • Congratulations to Chris Symonds and Duncan Hine taking out their categories in the Australian Sailing National Awards!  

  • Para Sailor of the Year Winner – Chris Symonds, Wynyard Yacht Club 

  • Offshore Sailor of the Year Winner – Duncan Hine, Derwent Sailing Squadron 

  • Well done to Duncan, Chris and the teams around them for their continued success. This recognition is well deserved and a great sign for Tasmanian sailing.  

  • President’s Award – Garry Langford, Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania. 

  • Garry has been an instrumental part of the sailing communities leadership for over 15 years. Previously a MYA president and now stepping down from the Australian Sailing Board of Directors after an 8 year tenure. Garry has taken on the most difficult tasks for the betterment of the sport, including his huge role in the One Sailing governance reform.
