General Update
Another month has flown by, and we are well into the sailing season. So much is happening around the state with club and class regattas being held in many different parts of Tasmania. These events only occur when there is good teamwork and communication. Recently, AS held a 3-day workshop for all GM’s and CSO’s, with one of the main discussions being around teamwork and working positively with our clubs and classes. In Tasmania, this has definitely been a focus in the last 12 months for me and Laila; working as a team, building connections, listening and being proactive, while understanding how we can better support you. The AS Club Survey was recently sent to all clubs and is a valuable feedback opportunity for you to share what has worked well and what still needs more work in Tasmania. Please take the time to complete this survey with your board or committee, as only one response per club/class is required. If your club has not received the link, please let me know.
To help us build connections and work as a team, I am available to attend club committee meetings to share information about how AS can help you, as well as answer any questions. If you are interested, please contact us to discuss when this would work for you.
Below is AS information that can be shared with your members and used for your newsletters.

Foil- Lab TAS – We have new Foil-Lab Coaches!
With the ever-increasing explosion of foiling into the sailing community Australian Sailing is working to develop programs and resources to support coaches, sailors, and clubs to get involved in this new and exciting space. The first step on the foiling journey for any sailor, windsurfer, wingsurfer or kiteboarder who wants to experience foiling is to participate in a Foil-Lab, delivered at a club, by an accredited Foil-Lab Coach. Tassie now has 2 accredited Foil-Lab Coaches, Hugo Allison and Rohan Langford, who are excited to be part of delivering this course. If you would like more information about holding a Foil-Lab, please contact us.
