Sport & Recreation Recovery Grant
To support eligible sport and recreation clubs and local governments that have been affected by severe weather to rebuild, restore, and mitigate their facilities.
To be eligible for funding, eligible organisations must be located in a declared disaster area for either:
Tropical Cyclone Jasper, Associated Rainfall and Flooding, 13 – 28 December 2023, or
South Queensland Severe Storms and Rainfall, 24 December 2023 – 3 January 2024
This funding is all about getting our active communities bouncing back stronger.
Eligible clubs/organisations can get started today by contacting your nearest Sport and Recreation office to discuss the application process and the available assistance.
Key Dates:
Applications open: 1 August 2024
Application deadline: 31 January 2025 or until budget is exhausted

Lord Mayor’s Community Fund
The Lord Mayor’s Better Suburbs Grants Community Support Category provides funding to support projects that respond to local community needs, improve community facilities and build organisational capacity.
The Community Support Category aims to deliver outcomes in alignment with Brisbane Vision 2031, which plans for the future of the city.Projects must deliver one or more of the following objectives:
support Community Facility maintenance and improvement
improve community organisation governance and long-term sustainability
provide operational equipment for community organisations
enable projects and activities that respond to community needs.
Round dates: Open: 24/3/2025 Close: 12/5/2025

Redland Community Grants
Redland City Council’s Community Grants Program provides funding to support local community organisations and individuals to undertake projects for the benefit of Redlands Coast. Grants are offered for community development, cultural heritage, environment, and sport and recreation.

There is a lot of competition for grants so to increase your chances of success doing extensive research into the funding providers and the previous recipients of that particular grant can help identify where they have been previously awarded. Understanding the driving forces behind a funding body will influence your case for support.
