Heading to Richardson's Beach for the annual Club Picnic?
The RYCT Cruising Committee is offering powerboats and yachts under power the option to make the voyage to Richardson's more interesting by running a time trial.
The format is simple. The Cruising Committee will present a slightly circuitous route to Richardson's. You and your crew will estimate the time it will take you to complete the journey and your average speed.
Each boat will start from off the DSS Permanent Mark at 1-minute intervals, in order of slowest nominated speed to fastest, and finish at a mark off Richardson's Beach having rounded a series of turning marks on the way. The crew which finishes at the time closest to their estimated time will receive a handsome prize!
Entry is via the online entry on the website and will cost you the princely sum of $20! Prizes are courtesy of our event sponsor Boat Sales Tasmania.
And we all get to enjoy a barbecue and a few convivial drinks on the beach at the Club Picnic.
