J BOAG NAVIGATION & SEAMANSHIP CRUISE 2022
CRUISE DATES: 29th APRIL – 1st MAY 2022
DESTINATION: TARANNA BOAT CLUB
This year`s navigation cruise will be set by the crew of last year`s winner BEAVER.
Starting from RYCT at 1900hrs the Friday night stage will be held within the confines of the Derwent River and should be completed by 2130hrs.
Participants will then be required to make their own way to Sloping Island where the Saturday morning stage will begin at 0830hrs.
Saturday`s morning and afternoon stages will be held in Norfolk Bay with the cruise finishing near Taranna by 1630hrs.
The Saturday evening function will be hosted by the Taranna Boat Club (TBC) where results will be announced around 1930hrs.
At this stage crews will have the option of dining aboard or making use of the TBC`s barbecue facilities ashore. Drinks will be available for purchase from the club (no BYO).
On the way home on Sunday a raft-up will take place at a convenient anchorage.

So come to Norfolk Bay with the Beaver Boys as they follow in the wake of Commodore Sir John Hayes and his ships the Duke of Clarence and the Duchess of Bengal who came this way in 1793.
