HELLO ALL OPTICHICKS!
We are back on again at Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron on the 13th - 14th of March.
There will be a range of different sailing activities over the weekend with coaching from former Opti girl champions! We also have some fantastic speakers set for Saturday night to share their sailing experience and pass on some wisdom.
Event Schedule
Saturday 13 March
1200-1300 Arrival at RSYS, unload Optis, registration
1300-1315 Official Welcome and Sausage Sizzle
1315-1345 Rigging and getting ready for a sail
1400-1600 Opti sailing with coaching by former Opti girls champions and NSWIS team members Mina Ferguson and Brooke Wilson
1600-1615 Derig Optis
1630-1800 Twilight Sail on the RSYS Elliot 4.7s (with sailors from the RSYS Keelboat Squad)
1800-1830 Shower and change
1830-2030 Dinner in the CCA room with guest speakers

2100 Home time
Sunday 14 March
0830-0900 Arrive, bbq breakfast and briefing. Parents are invited to retrieve the sailors’ Optis from this time and book a table on the balcony at the Careening Cove Room for breakfast. Book here, https://www.rsys.com.au/clubhouse/dining/
0900-0930 Rig the RSYS Pacers (two-person dinghy with spinnaker)
0930-1130 Pacer sailing
1130-1215 Derig Pacers, debrief, shower and change
1215 Sausage Sizzle lunch and (optional) departure
1230 Sailors are also welcome to join in in our afternoon Club racing which runs from 1230 - 1630. We run the racing right out the front of the Club, so it is great for parents to spectate!
Cost for the weekend is $100 per sailor, includes 2 lunches, dinner, breakfast, all activities, and a shirt.
