The Summer Optimist Squad is targeted at sailors who have demonstrated a high level of skill in the Optimist and are participating in class regattas. Sailors are expected to have a deeper understanding of racing principles and strong boat handling skills. 

On-water sessions will focus on refining a sailor’s technique and ability, preparing them for national and international competitions. 

 

For sailors wishing to achieve advanced level skills and compete in State, National and International regattas we recommend committing to the full-time program consisting of three on-water training session Sunday, Tuesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon. 

Sailors need to be Youth Members or have a current RSYS Sail Pass to be a part of the program. 

If you are a parent registering for your child, you MUST register with your child's details not your own.
