Lisa Blair's Antarctica Adventure - Fundraising Talk
Event information
Squadron Members and their guest are invited to this amazing fundraising talk by the very inspiring female sailor Lisa Blair.
Enjoy this thrilling story as Lisa recounts her epic voyages around Antarctica in 2017, where her mast came crashing down in a storm, she was thrown into a survival situation. In her first Antarctic record attempt Lisa was regularly faced with snow storms, blizzards, 100km/h winds and waves the height of a five-story building, and almost didn't live to tell us of this truly epic adventure. Lisa pushed past her self-doubt and returned to the Southern Ocean in 2022 becoming the first woman and fastest person to complete this Solo, Non-Stop and Unassisted voyage.
Throughout this story Lisa will cover topics such as Resilience, Managing Fear and Self Doubt, Tracking through Storms, Celebrating the Small Wins and her passion for Sustainability and Climate Action Now.
This talk is a fundraising event with all money raised through ticket sales going to Lisa for her future voyages.
