What does Sail camp look like?
MONDAY 9TH October
- Arrive 9am (Participants bring own lunch and snacks for this day)
- Set up camp in tents in the dinghy shed, general safety, camp rules, basics of sailing, get on the water
- Dinner provided on this day
TUESDAY – THURSDAY
- Continue with a variety of water activities offering a range of sailing experiences from introduction to advanced with flexibility around the weather.
- Follow the Australian Sailing curriculum where practicable.
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided each day
WEDNESDAY EVENING
- Participants sail on keel boats racing in the twilight series.
POSSIBLE LONG SAIL ON THURSDAY
- Depending on the weather, participants, abilities, schedule, sail from RSAYS up the port river to somewhere near the old quarantine building, have lunch and sail back.
FRIDAY
- A sail on a large deep keel boat
- Final dinner and presentations at night with parents able to attend. Dinner for camp attendees is included in their camp price. Parent will be able to order on the night.
