Thank you for your interest in entering a team into the upcoming RQYS Frostbite Series. To ensure the safety of participants and the fair use of club assets, skippers must apply and be approved by the Sailing Office/Academy before being granted use of a club Elliott. This form helps us understand your sailing background, team setup, and experience handling keelboats in a racing environment.

All applications will be reviewed by the Sailing Office and Academy. If approved, skippers will be notified and granted access to a club Elliott for the series under agreed conditions.

• $200 Hire Fee for the use of an Elliott over the 4 race days.
• $100 Race Entry Fee for the Series.
• $500 bond will be taken, and if no damage is made to the Elliott, returned at the conclusion of the hire. 

Skipper Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to skipper a club Elliott in this series, applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years of age

• Be a current member of the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron

• Have relevant skippering experience, particularly on keelboats (preferably Elliotts)

• Demonstrate knowledge of racing rules, safety procedures, and good sportsmanship

• Be responsible for managing their team and ensuring the proper care of the boat during use

• Commit to attending all scheduled race days (or notifying the Sailing Office in advance if unavailable)
