Welcome to RQ Youth Adventure in our Quests!

The perfect sailing adventure for any young sailors who are looking to further their sailing by having fun adventures in a safe enviroment. This is a great opportunity for sailors who don't enjoy the competition or structure of race specific training.

  • Youth Adventure Quest Group: 3rd May - 21st June 2025

Session Times:

  • Youth Adventure Quest Group: Saturday afternoons, 13:00 - 16:00 hrs

Costs:

  • $255 for the term

Please Note:

  • In case weather conditions aren't suitable for on-water activities, we'll conduct theory sessions.
  • This program is for teen sailors who are 12 -18 years, who have successfully completed the Start Sailing 1 & 2 course or the Tackers 1, 2 & 3 programs but are too tall for the Optimist or wish to sail in a team.
  • To participate in this training, you need to be a junior member of RQYS.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

By registering for this program, you acknowledge and accept that sailing is a dangerous sport that carries inherent risks, including the potential for serious injury. One specific risk during this course is head injuries caused by contact with the boom or other equipment, which can occur regardless of a sailor's level of experience or skill.

The safety of each sailor is ultimately their own and their parents’ responsibility. This includes taking appropriate precautions to minimize risks, such as wearing a helmet to reduce the likelihood of serious injury.
