Welcome back to RQ Youth Squad Training, and a warm welcome to our new members! We're excited to kick off another season of sailing and windsurfing with you all.

 

Training will resume on Saturday 5th of October 2024, with specific start dates outlined in the fleet training schedule. Please take note that not all fleets start on the same day!

 

Youth Squad Term Cost:

Single Handed Fleets on Weekends: $235

• -          Open Opti
• -          Intermediate Opti
• -          ILCA 4
• -          ILCA 6
• -          Windsurfers
• -          Wind Foils

Double Handed Fleets on Weekends: $180 Per Sailor

• -          Feva
• -          29er

Windsurfing and Wind Foil - 5 Afternoon sessions (Thursday or Friday): $150

If you're taking part in Windsurfing and Wind Foiling on the weekday and weekend, please use the code YS2DAYS10% to recieve 10% off your second session!

 

Training days:

Saturdays starting on the 5th of October to the 30th of November, 0830-1130 hrs: Youth Squad Fleets (ILCA 4, ILCA 6, RS Feva, 29er, Intermediate Opti, Open Opti, and Windsurfing)

Sundays starting on the 6th of October to the 1st of December, 0830-1130 hrs: Wind Foil

Thursdays starting 10th of October to the 7th of November, 1600-1800 hrs: Windsurfing

Friday starting 11th of October to the 8th of November, 1600-1800 hrs:  Wind Foil

There will be no training for the following Fleets on the following dates:
-    ILCA 4, ILCA 6, RS Feva, 29er, Intermediate Opti and Open Opti from the 9th to the 13th October.

-    Windsurfers and Wind Foilers on the 3rd and 4th October and 12th to the 13th of October.

Please Note:

• Please ensure that BOTH the skipper and crew register for 2 handed boats.
• If you need to hire equipment, please completed our Equipment Hire Registration HERE.
• It's important to note that each class has a minimum attendance requirement. If this requirement isn't met, we may be unable to assign a class-specific coach for the term.
• In the case that weather conditions aren't suitable for on-water activities, we'll conduct theory sessions.
• To participate in this training, you need to be a junior member of RQYS.

We encourage all sailors to also take part in RQYS Club Racing, as it's the natural progression from our Youth Squad training. Please ensure you are taking part along with participating in your class nationals and state regatta’s.
