Are you a bit anxious when picking up a mooring or even worse picking up a lost crew?
Here is your golden opportunity to join us to get all of these things sorted! Whilst the topics listed below are all pretty serious we are going to have heaps of fun conquering the skills.

We are going to blitz: MOB, picking up a mooring, coming alongside jetty and securing a boat, leaving and returning to pen, a couple of handy knots and finally coming alongside another boat.

To celebrate our numerous successes we will finish with a de-briefing in the Wardroom.

When: Sunday September 15^th 0800 – 1200
Where: Meet at the Dinghy Club

Bring: sailing gear, snacks, and drinks

Schedule:

0800 – Greet and introduction to the program including safety briefing

0815 – On boats

1. Safe handling of mooring lines, correct use of jetty cleats (OXO)

2. Handy knots: bowline, round turn & half hitches

3. Attaching mooring lines

0830 – Rig boats

0845 – Leave and return to pen practice

0915 – Picking up and leaving a mooring

0945 – MOB

1045 – Coming alongside an anchored RIB

1115 – Coming alongside a jetty, use of fenders

1145 – De-rig

1200 - De-brief in Wardroom
