The 2024 Ron Tough Match Racing Regatta is being held by Royal Perth Yacht Club in Conjunction with the S80 Association of WA on Sunday 19th May.

Ron Tough, a stalwart of WA sailing and founder of the Ron Tough Yachting Foundation (which financially supports Western Australian sailors in achieving competitive success at an international level), donated the trophy for the inaugural S80 match racing series in 1988.

The event will be held in S80 class boats and is open to skippers who are members of the S80 Association, alternate skippers nominated in accordance with S80 Association season membership criteria or invitation skippers who are members of the RPYC Match Racing Squad, RPYC Youth Squad, or SoPYC Development Squad (these skippers should apply through their squad committee).

A minimum of 6 boats is required to run the regatta, with a maximum of eight boats before entries are closed. The event will consist of racing in a round robin series (1 or 2 depending on the number of entries and weather conditions on the day).
