RPYC is seeking nominations from Club Members to compete in the Australian 2K Team Racing Championships at Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania on 11^th- 12^th December 2021.

This will be the second year that the Club has participated since the regattas inception in 2020. The regatta uses Elliot 6’s & SB20’s, with crew’s of 3/boat, using 2v2 team racing format. There is a gender balance minimum of 50% minus 1 per boat (i.e., minimum of 1 male or female/crew out of the 3).

A formal nomination process will be undertaken with a specific training and selection program (RPYC Squad Selection Process Guidelines) to determine the team to represent the Club.
 
From October to the date of the regatta, the Teams Racing squad will train once per week (most likely on the normal Sunday mornings 0830-1230).

• October Sunday AM’s – Training sessions with the Team Racing squad for those nominated
• 1^st week of November – Team to be selected & announced
• November/December AM’s – Training sessions with the Team Racing squad for the selected team

The Club will cover the nomination costs for the regatta with team members covering their own travel, accommodation & personal expenses.
