This course will run on Sunday 6th, 13th, 20st & 27th April 2025. It's a 16h minimum course.

BECAREFULL, as we want you to participate on a race the day 4, starting time may not be the same than the others days and day may change depending on race opportunity. It'll be discussed with the group.

You are looking to polish your skills and acknowledges in racing. You have watched, on the web, professionnal team delivering the best technic, but you have never been able to experience them. This course is for you. We bring a taste of pro team on the boat.

Program:

  • Day 1: theory in class.
    • Strategy before the race
    • Start: pre start routine and strategy
    • Boat preparation and training focus
    • concept of layline and gain or loss
    • strategical use of Cumulus cloud
  • Day 2: on water manoeuvres
    • Concept of primary job and second job onboard: information feeding, wind lecture, navigation and more
    • Communication during the race
    • Main Reefing, Sails peeling
  • Day 3:
    • Performant rounding mark
    • Variation on spinnaker hoist and drop technic: kiwi drop, mail box ...
  • Day 4: on water race

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to level up their racing skills in a keelboat and have achieved Racing level 1 course.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Racing level 2 completion certificate.

The Advanced Fleet Program is designed to enable participants to train to compete.
