This is a two-day course run on Friday 6th (6pm - 9pm) & Saturday 7th December 2024 (9am - 5pm).

Course Cost: $350

Cancellations: Please note that courses cancelled up to 72 hours in advance will not incur a fee. However, cancellations made with less than 72 hours notice will be subject to a $75 charge.


Course Overview
This one-day course is designed to improve your boat handling skills, especially in confined areas such as marinas and in swell and waves. You will learn more about engines and types of crafts and practise navigation techniques on a passage. In some instances, you can take your completion certificate to your State Maritime Regulator and gain the State Boat License. 

Course Prerequisites

Water confident. The skills and knowledge gained in Start Powerboating or equivalent power boating experience.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to further develop their powerboat driving skills. This course is also a prerequisite for becoming a Dinghy and/or Windsurfing Instructor.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Powerboat Handling completion certificate.
