An introduction to the basics of sailing on a day sailing yacht, including boat handling, safety and sailing theory.

This course is aimed at the first time sailor, dinghy sailor (converting to keelboats) or prospective holiday yacht charterer.
Duration: 12 hours (courses are 3 x 4 hour sessions.)

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a keelboat. Learn the basics, whilst staying relatively dry! All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Crewing completion certificate.
