The OutThere Sailing Holiday Program will be held from the 8th - 12th January 2024 and is suitable for participants with little or no sailing experience.
Course Inclusions
- 20 hrs tuition with Australian Sailing qualified Instructor.
- Sailing dinghies and keelboats. Also exposure to powerboats.
- Certificate and photos emailed on the last day.

The OutThere Sailing Holiday Program is designed to provide a safe and enjoyable introduction to sailing and boating for complete beginners or keen sailors. It includes an introduction to fundamental boat handling skills and essential safety knowledge. Activities are weather dependant and the instrucotr will assess each day what activity can be on.

- Clothing and safety equipment
- Parts of the boat
- Rigging (setting the boat up)
- Steering
- Sail control
- Speed control
- Launch and recovery
- Capsize recovery
- Towing
- Sailing rules
- Powerboat handling
- Keelboat
- Stand paddle
- Knee boarding
- Doughnut

Overview
This is an OutThere Sailing combined course (a combination of OutThere Sailing 1, 2, 3). The combined course enables individual progression accross its duration, whilst allowing friends to remain together.
OutThere Sailing will always be about fun, social engagement and safety.
Prerequisites
Water confident.
Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants who are 12-17 years-old looking to try a new activity, have some fun and engage with others whilst sailing.
Course Outcome
By the end of the OutThere Sailing combined course, the participants will achieve the standards of either OutThere Sailing 1, 2, or 3 and have had a lot of FUN with friends!
