Hi Members, Guests and Friends
I would like to say thank you to all of our Members and Guess who volunteered at the NSW Open at Blacktown. It was a fantastic Event.
Congratulations also to our Members and Guests who participated in the Events and either Won games and or medals and or Learnt a few more things to help improve their games.
The Red Cross also attended the NSW Open and had a marquee set up pushing their upcoming Blood Drive with Pickleball NSW which begins on the 1st May till the 31st July 2024.
We all know someone who has needed a blood transfusion or blood products from a Plasma Donation. It could have been yourself or a close family member and I personally know the helpless restricted feeling of not being able to do anything for a loved one.
You also might already be a Donor so keep up the great work.
You can donate Whole Blood every 3 months which takes about 30 minutes depending on your body. If you have more time you can donate Plasma which takes about an hour and you can donate every 2 weeks.
If you think you can help or have wanted to Donate but the thought of the process scares you, maybe talk amongst yourselves and go with a Doubles partner and donate together.
If you do attend a Blood Clinic, make sure you tell them that you are from the Riverwood Pickleball Club responding to the Blood Drive as we are in competition with all Pickleball clubs in NSW.
