The Risdon Hockey Club Inc was founded in 1967 in Port Pirie. It is a well respected & larger club in Port Pirie winning many accolades. The club has a strong emphasis on ‘nurturing their juniors and respecting their seniors’. It is keen to become the club of choice and has worked hard establishing Coaching clinics in the local schools .
Risdon has developed many champions like CJ Ramsay and Cameron Joyce who have represented Australia in Hockey. There is a strong camaraderie within the club and we have now become a fully accredited Star Club with the Office of Recreation & Sport to further develop and access Grants and funding for our young and old champions alike.
Risdon has male & female, senior & junior teams from Div 1 to U10.
