The Recreational Skippers Ticket (RST) is a qualification based on a set of competencies that have been adopted by all government marine safety authorities in Australia to contribute and to promote:

  • the safe use of waterways
  • an awareness of boating safety

The assessment of these competencies is in two sections: theory and practical.

The minimum age to obtain an RST is 14 years. A person requires a RST if they are to be the skipper of a vessel powered by an engine of more than 6hp.

This course is the complete RST course with both training and assessment.
