Event information
We have initially organised two sessions; 12 and 19 December; 1300 to 1600 daily. It would be great to see you participate, please RSVP so I can make sure we have enough experienced Instructors onsite to deliver the training. If conditions are appropriate, we might go over time on these sessions.
It would be great if you could spare the afternoons and come along to continue to develop your Assistant Instructor or Dinghy Instructor skills both practical and theory.
We will be demonstrating some “best practice” teaching methods such as:
- Pacer Towing.
- Optimist Daisy Chain.
- Propeller awareness – how to hook up multiple boat tow off the beach.
- Radio etiquette.
- Coming alongside a dinghy.
- Retrieving a dinghy from the pens.
- How to teach participants how to derig on the water.
This will be a great opportunity to try to teach a skillset in a very supportive environment where you can make mistakes and get some feedback on how to do it differently.
Please bring your own – wetsuit, Instructing clothes. Snacks, water bottle, note pad and pen.
Regards,
Chelsea Hall
