Participants must have graduated from our Youth Keelboat Training or have prior keelboat experience.
This course aims to develop match racing skills, polish teamwork and boat handling and to establish teams. Sailors will be guided by experienced match racing coaches and will have a lot of fun.
Skippers are encouraged to establish teams and register as a team. This needs to be coordinated between the sailors. If you do not have a team but would like to participate, please register or speak to your coaches and we can assist you to make a team. Individuals are asked to register seperately.
We would encourage you to include one of our Youth Keelboat Training graduates in your team. Our program operates using a mentoring structure so please be inclusive of our younger sailors.
This program will include 20 hours of training both on the water and in the classroom, followed by the Sailing Institute Regatta on 3rd & 4th September.
RFBYC provides generous assistance to match racing teams representing the Club in events around the World. This program is for sailors preparing for events later in the year such as JESS Match Cup, Colin Mullins Youth Regatta, 2023 Swan River Racing Events or any interstate Match Racing Regattas.
