2025 U16 Representative Program Details

Age & Eligibility Requirements for Selection Group

Must be a RHA Member.
Age Group: U16 players must be born in 2010 or 2009 (turning 15 or 16 years in 2025). RHA is accepting nominations for those born in 2011 for case-by-case consideration.

Tournament Dates

U16 Coulter Cup: 17th August (Tweed)
U16 State Championships: 21^st – 24^th September (State Hockey Centre)

Costs

Trial Nomination Fee per Player: $0
One Day Cost per Selected Player: $0
Champion Cost per Selected Player: $TBA
Playing Uniform: RHA playing uniforms will be supplied on a hire agreement and included in fees for participation.

Travel & Accommodation

· One Day – Each player will be expected to make their own arrangements to attend.

· Championship – After careful consideration and in light of various logistical factors, it has been decided that the Under 14 and Under 16 Boys representative teams will not travel as a group for tournaments in 2025. This decision follows an evaluation of a number of factors, including considerations around player behaviour and the substantial volunteer commitment required for team travel have influenced this outcome. Additionally, it is found that a number of parents already plan to travel to these events. As a result, the responsibility for travel and accommodation will rest solely with the individual players. Each player will be expected to make their own arrangements to attend these events, ensuring greater flexibility for families and a more sustainable approach to team logistics.
