Summer Lightning Tournament Results

Over the weekend, we had an amazing time competing in the Summer Lightning Tournament, entering three teams and showcasing some incredible volleyball! A huge congratulations to our 16s Girls team, who took home gold in the Girls Division 2, and to our 14s Girls team, who won silver! For many of our 14s players, this was their first-ever tournament, and they gained invaluable experience while putting in a fantastic effort on the court.

Maribyrnong Junior Champs

Today, we had two teams in action at the Maribyrnong Champs! Our 14s girls team secured an impressive 3rd place overall, while our boys finished 2nd in their pool but narrowly missed out on the semi-finals.

2024 Summer Season Official Starts

We are back to playing and training Volleyball from this Sunday the 14th of April! Below is some housekeeping moving into the upcoming season. Due to the late start of the season, there will only be 9 rounds of play. We have successfully created 3 divisions – Sunday - C Grade (Junior Competition) - 5 Teams Monday - B Grade – Adults, Juniors and Families - 6 Teams Monday - A Grade – Senior, Advanced and State League players – 4 Teams

Summer Season Starts 14th April 2024

There will be no more training at the Buffalo Stadium. We will begin Sunday training and Junior Competition on Sunday the 14th of April and the A and B Grade competition will start back on Monday 15th of April - all after the school holidays.

Casual Training

Hello everyone, We will have casual training for adults and junior players in the A grade/ State league at Buffalo Stadium (Woodend) from 5pm to 7pm this Sunday and the following two Sundays. Our usual Sunday training will not start again until we can use the Riddells Creek Stadium in March!! Please do not forget to bring $5 to each training! Thanks, MRVA Committee

Key Tournaments Dates for Macedon Ranges Volleyball Association

Here are some important dates for tournaments we want to get involved in.  For the junior tournament, we want to have at least one team for both girls and boys. For all other tournaments, we will try to have one team of males and one team of females. We invite younger players to show their interest in any of the tournaments. Based on their ability level and other factors, juniors may be chosen to play on a men's or women's team or be selected to play in a junior team.

State League tryouts will be approaching shortly, therefore we've decided to schedule two training sessions specifically for those who will be taking part.
