Fees:
Sailors must be a RBYC Junior member ($107pa). If using club boats then a hire fee of $300 pa is also payable. All fees payable will be invoiced after enrollement

Course Prerequisites

• 2023/2024 season RBYC Member $107 pa (compulsory for club programs and invoiced after enrollment)
• Water confident
• 16-18 years-old
• Compleleted Youth Racing Squad training or similar experience 

Program Overview

This squad is designed for RBYC youth members that have completed their introductory level courses and are looking at the next step in their sailing pathway. The program is suitable for youth with any level of 29er experience and provides a safe and fun environment to learn. With no set curriculum or pass/fail component, squad sessions are tailored to what the sailors need and are unique to where each team is on their journey.

Our 29er coaches are some of the best 29er sailors in the country (and the world). RBYC is home to junior worlds medalists, the Victorian head coach as well as state and national champions who have so much knowledge to share!

Do I need a partner?

If you have a friend that you would definitely like to sail with then great, just make sure you let the coach know- but if you haven't quite found your perfect match yet do not fear, we will be able to mix and match between the group until you find the right one.

What about a boat?

You can hire of one of the RBYC 29ers if you do not have one of your own ($300 pa). Places are highly limited for those who do not own their own boat so make sure if you have a desired partner you enroll at a similar time to save your spot!
