HUNTER REGION SUMMER SERIES – Round 1

SUNDAY 22nd OCTOBER 2023

Please Note: This event is being conducted at the Maitland Regional Athletic Centre (off High Street)

ONLINE ENTRIES ONLY – under no circumstances will on the day entries be taken

Ages: 6 to Masters
Time: 2.00pm to 6.00pm
Cost: $15 for up to 6 events
Registrations Opens: Monday 25th September 2023 8.00am
Register: There are two Registration / Entry types

Sunday 22nd October – Track Events

2.00pm 60m Hurdle (45cm & 60cm Heights).

2.30pm 100m (all ages)

3.30pm 200m (all ages)

4.30pm 1,500m (Ages 10+)

5.00pm 4 x 100m Relays (all ages)*

5.30pm 3,000m (13+ ages)

* Athlete’s nominate relay teams on the day. U13 & 13+ will be accepted for each gender or mixed teams

Sunday 22nd October – Field Events

2.00pm Long Jump (ages 6-12)

2.00pm Discus (ages 13+)

4.00pm Discus (age 6-12))

4.30pm Long Jump (ages 13+)

 

Timing : Photo finish shall be in use

Check in: Athletes are not required to check in, but must report 5 minutes before the scheduled start time or when announced over the PA.

Spectators/Visitors/Coaches: Must remain outside the competition area or within the designated coaching area

Results: Live Results will be available via the QR code displayed at the venue.

Canteen: Limited packaged food and drinks available from canteen.

Rules

The competition shall be run to World Athletic rules

  • 1 false start rule shall apply to 13 years and above running events.
  • Seeded Events will be conducted for under 13 and over 13 Men and Women up to 800m.
  • Athletes shall be seeded according to ability (if times submitted on entry).
  • Spikes worn must be max. of 7mm in length.
  • Age restrictions will apply to appropriate events.
  • ​Mixed events may be conducted for 1,500m and longer​.
  • All throwers must use the correct throwing implement for their age.
  • Athletes in field event (except high jump) will have the duration of the time allocated for their event for completion of their trials.
