QUT is excited to be co-hosting the 2023 Queensland Esports State Championship in collaboration with Motorsport Australia, Next Level Racing (NLR), and the Queensland Government. This new Esports competition will see 12 drivers battle it out for cash prizes during a special live final at QUT.
QUT Sport has the opportunity to enter two (2) wildcard entries from the QUT communtiy into the live grand finals, held at Gardens Point on Saturday, August 12. Qualifying for these two entries will be held from 19 – 28 July. Hot laps will be undertaken on a NLR racing simulator via the iRacing platform. The two fastest times from this pre-qualifying period will compete at the Championship in August. Participants must reside in Queensland and be available to visit Gardens Point campus (GP-X104) to set their lap time. Those selected to take part in the final will require a Motorsport Australia Esports Licence in order to be eligible.

Please use the following form to register a 15 minute window to use the simulator and set a lap time.
The top 24 hot lap times will receive a Next Level Racing (NLR) merchandise pack plus other NLR prize giveaways throughout the pre-qualifying period.

Can’t make it on campus?
If you cannot make it on campus, or you have friends and family who would like to compete, drivers can also enter the event’s pre-qualifying stage as a general entrant. The top 8 fastest drivers from across Queensland will join the 2 wildcard entrants from QUT, and 2 wildcard entrants from NLR. Details for general entrants can be found here.
